NFETI - Nursing Facility Evacuation Training Initiative 2026

NFETI (Nursing Facility Evacuation Training Initiative) is a practical, hands-on program built for the realities of skilled nursing and long-term care in the Lowcountry—limited transport, tight staffing, medically fragile residents, and fast-changing hurricane/flood conditions. Participants learn how to make and document evacuation vs. shelter-in-place decisions, prioritize residents using Transportation Assistance Levels (TAL), move residents safely, maintain medication/oxygen continuity, and track/hand off residents with the minimum documentation needed to continue care. Training is delivered in tiered sessions for leadership, clinical/support staff, and partner agencies, with tools and worksheets you can take back and use immediately.
